This was actually cute & sweet. :) I love my little ponies. Definitely one of my favorite tv shows. So when my fiddling sister bought these, I had to read them all. :) I'm very glad I did. The author does an excellent task of capturing discord's personality. & it's really sweet to seem him actually wanting to make friends. He'southward sarcastic & cocky, but he actually is a sweetie center one time you get to know him, equally fluttershy says. :D he actually cares for her, doesn't he? :)things are kinda hard for him. He's trying to deny his very instincts to cause chaos. & trying to be good, but everyone keeps expecting him to really screw things upward. He'due south a lot like dusk shimmer in that aspect, and I think that's why I enjoyed this book so much. I love me some reformed baddies.
Really, the only thing I accept to say negative here is that information technology would have been far meliorate as an episode of the Telly bear witness then as a volume. & that'southward not really negative, as information technology'due south a very mannerly little story. just a personal opinion. Discord'south magic is funny & has a much bigger bear upon in a visual story.
A wonderful choice for mlp fans & is highly recommended. It'd be really fun to read information technology out loud with a immature kid.

The story follows Discord moving to Ponyville to participate in the Spring Musical upon a secret initiation from Princess Celestia. Withal, behaving and not inducing chaos is confronting his nature and becomes quite hard for Discord particularly when so few ponies trust him.

A charming book for such a chaotic grapheme! The story follows Discord moving to Ponyville to participate in the Spring Musical upon a secret initiation from Princess Celestia. However, behaving and not inducing chaos is against his nature and becomes quite hard for Discord especially when so few ponies trust him.
I enjoyed this volume! Although Discord causes chaos and is set as a negative character, his traits are really the reverse. He's witty and fun in his remarks and although no pony was trusting him, he still kept his hopes up even if they were a bit of mischief. Discord also is self-reliant and reflective which makes his character all the more than enjoyable. In this volume, the reader can really see that Discord has inverse through the "friendship is magic."
This book had more than references than the rest to events that have occurred in the TV series, making it read more similar an accompaniment. Although information technology'south skilful to watch the show to understand the references, it's not required in my opinion. The other ponies remarks and attitude near Discord assistance explain just how much trouble Discord has caused and why they are and then fearful.
Overall, I did similar this book as information technology was entertaining and in that location is a slight mystery involved. I recall it would have been better if it was a TV episode then we could watch all of Discord's funny antics. The bulletin in this book felt a piddling fuzzy to me just I call up that a happy ending is better than annihilation else we can wish for!

The ending seemed a little odd, as D
Discord seems a difficult character to capture, just Berrow did a great task at nailing his graphic symbol, and this volume was quite fun. I loved seeing this side of Discord, where he'southward asked to do something outside of his comfort zone, merely he does it in an engaging mode, rather than just sulking or throwing a tantrum. In some ways information technology seems a little odd he wouldn't effort harder to be the heart of attention, just the further I got into the book, the less that bothered me.The ending seemed a little odd, as Discord has only ever seemed to care almost himself, but information technology's also kind of cute, so I don't think I really mind it. Trying to stay vague, to avert spoilers.
Overall, while a few $.25 of this volume felt odd at first, I ended up enjoying it, and I dearest how well Berrow was able to capture the grapheme of Discord. I besides loved the diverse pocket-size nods to what has happened in the prove, equally information technology shows Berrow knows the source cloth well.

In that location'due south also a nod to John De Lancie'southward Star Trek persona...
Okay, this My Little Pony story is written for all the kids who love Broadway musicals. Information technology contains several Pony-fied versions of classic showtunes, like "Singing in the Pelting" and "Lxx Vi Trombones". I'm not sure how many kids will get these gags but those that do will honey this book. There's likewise a nod to John De Lancie'due south Star Trek persona...
